APS HTML Photo Album Creator

This program, which I wrote myself, is used to put my photo's on my web page. A program to generate quickly and easily an HTML photo album ready to publish on the internet from a series of JPEG's (APS photo's). The program is capable of recompressing and resizing your scanned photo's (to reduce the size of the JPEG's) and generating photo album HTML code based on a template! Further the program is capable of distinguishing all three APS photo types (in both landscape and portrait direction).

Quick start

Download the zipped program here: APS Photo Album. Unzip the files and put them in a directory. You can create a shortcut to the APSPhotoAlbum.exe file for your convenience. The source code can be downloaded here.

Scan (or rename) your APS photo pictures and name them '01.jpg', '02.jpg', '03.jpg', etc. (a maximum of 60 pictures are supported). Scan your index photo and name it 'index.jpg'.
Put your scanned pictures in a separate directory. If you want to add comments to your photo's you can create a 'comment.txt' file containing the title of the film on the first line, the subtitle on the second line and the next lines can contain individual comments for every photo (one line for each photo in consecutive order).
Next create a directory for your HTML 'ready to publish' photo album.

Now you are almost done. Start the program by double clicking the APSPhotoAlbum.exe file you just unzipped. Select the directory with the scanned photos in the upper directory list box. Select the output directory in the lower directory list box. Click 'Start generation of APS HTML photo album' button!

View your HTML photo album in the output directory!

Quick example

Download, unzip and start the program (see above).
Select in the upper directory list box the 'californie030284' directory. Select in the lower directory list box the 'output' directory. Click 'Start generation of APS HTML photo album' button and an example HTML photo album will be created in the output directory.
